A BODY POSTURE AND STRENGTH OF THE ARM FLEXOR MEASURED AMONG BOYS AGED 12 FROM THE ŚWIĘTOKRZYSKIE PROVINCE

The aim of the research was to evaluate postures among boys aged 12 with Moiré's photogrammetric method, evaluate strength of the arm flexor and make an analysis of the relationship between a posture and the absolute strength of the arm flexor. 65 boys aged 12 from the Primary School number 13 in Starachowice were examined. The research was carried out in November 2005. It was observed that the lateral curvatures of the spine appeared most frequently - 46 cases (71%). There were 18 cases (28%) of posture asymmetry. Among faults in the sagittal plane concave backs dominated - 13 cases (20%). The strength of the right arm was 28.75 (KG) and that of the left arm 27.51 (KG).

The absolute strength of the arm flexor is not connected with the angle size of the primary spinal curvature.

Celem badań była analiza związku między postawą a siłą zginaczy ręki. Badaniami objętych zostało 65 chłopców ze Szkoły Podstawowej nr 13 w Starachowicach. Siła bezwzględna nie ma związku z wielkością kąta skrzywienia kręgosłupa, dlatego błędne jest postępowanie korekcyjne nastawione na wzmacnianie mięśni posturalnych.
